piece work Inquiry (采购产品): piece work January 14, 2009 Dear Sir or Madam: My name is Julie Johnson and I am the Job Development Coordinator for Pine Habilitation and Supported Employment, (PHASE). I am sending this letter to ascertain if you and your company have a need for the services we provide. PHASE is a private, non-profit organization that provides a service to adults with disabilities. Our main goal is to provide the needed support and assistance for these adults attain employment in their communities. This support comes mainly in the form of our staff. They are employees of PHASE who supervise and monitor workers to ensure the highest quality standards. Some adults with disabilities, who are working with us, for various reasons, are unable to work in a community setting. Therefore, we provide them with the opportunity to assemble piecework and shred paper materials as employment. For those who are able to participate in the community, we provide enclaves, as well as single-placement, in areas such as housekeeping, assembly, landscaping and recycling. Both situations provide adults with disabilities the opportunity to work, earn their own income, and develop a strong sense of self- worth and accomplishments. Some of the jobs we that we currently have and have had in the past are: Plastech Inc., The Cointaner Company, Gift Design, Fudally Company. Plastech Inc. is a company out of Rush City, Minnesota that specializes in manufacturing plastics of all kinds. At this time we assemble plastic parts for refrigerators. In the past we assembled nuts and bolts along with instructions and put it in a small plastic bag and sealed them. The Cointaner Company we assembled and packaged coin containers. Gift Design is located in Askov, Minnesota. Our contract through Gift Design allowed our workers to assemble gift boxes. Our workers are very capable of these and several other types of assembly. The staff inspects each product before it is packaged to be shipped out to ensure the highest of quality standards. While we greatly appreciate the opportunity these companies give our workers, supplies can be unreliable. Because of this, I am searching for additional options. We offer competitive contracts with the highest of quality assurance. If you and your company have an opportunity to help these adults with disabilities continue to work, please contact me.
