Our company has a regular supply of 6 x 6 x .250 inch and 5 x 5 x .090 inch polished quartz substrates that have been used as photomasks in the semiconductor industry. If they were to be polished again, they may no longer meet the demanding specifications required for our industry. We have found that these fused silica/synthetic quartz substrates can be re-used for many different applications. We have re-sold these to Customers that have used them and polished them down for wafers or used them for other optical applications such as windows, prisms, beam splitters, microfluidic chips, lenses and other optical components.
