Inquiry (采购产品): Large Water Storage tank Dear Sir: I am seeking help on which options will probably result in the lowest price of tank, but still within AWWA standards for potable water storage: Tank is 52 ft. dia x 32 ft vertical, (500,000 gallon.) a. Is this the most efficient configuration? b. Is a steel tank less costly that fiberglass or other material? c. Which type of coating is least costly? Fiberglass coating? Would a fiberglass tank require any additional interior coating? d. Is a welded steel tank less costly than bolted steel? e. Which type of cover is least costly? Can some type of floating tarp, (like a swimming pool cover) satisfy AWWA requirements. f. Can a corrugated type construction in large sizes, satisfy AWWA requirements? Is this a more economical type of construction? g. Will any specific type of construction result in a lower foundation cost? We are anticipating a standard concrete foundation. We have received quotes, but the bids came in higher than our budget, so we would to do whatever can be done to bring down the price. Changes in our scope of work will require a re-bid process. I will certainly appreciate your help.
