Recently defeated two other top tier suppliers to win a $30 million order with PowerTech and the New York City DOT to install 378K fixtures over the next five years to comply with the new DOT specifications. Professional Experience 1987 – 2008 | Cooper Lighting | Peachtree City, Georgia Cooper Lighting (cooperlighting.com) manufactures lighting fixtures and related products for indoor and outdoor use. Central and Northeast Regional Sales Manager (2006 – 2008) ? In charge of utility and DOT sales in 20 states in the Midwest and Northeast US. ? Led a team of 10 independent agents who grew sales from $6 to $20 million in the utility market. ? Also led a team of 12 independent agents who grew sales from $2 to $5 million in the DOT market. ? The first year of growth was accomplished while operating within all budget goals and attaining an 11.2% increase in 2007 and holding even in a rapidly declining market in 2008. Central Regional Sales Manager, Contractor First Program (1998 – 2006) ? Instrumental in the initial design and implementation of the “Contractor First” Program. The program identified a select and limited number of electrical contractors who expressed a desire to grow their business utilizing all Cooper brands. ? The original 13 states and seven agency base grew at an annual sales rate average of 20.8% across the board, which increased sales volume base from $13 to $59 million in eight years. ? Key accounts included: Continental Electric, Gibson Electric, Baker Electric, Guarantee Electric, Griffin Electric. Central Regional Sales Manager (1987 – 1998) ? Charter RSM for what was then the newly formed Cooper Lighting. Originally responsible for the fluorescent line and shortly thereafter, the HID product lines. ? Grew this region’s base of $80 to nearly $200 million with 13 agencies covering 11 states. ? The average annual growth rate of 9% out-performed the industry’s 3% to 4% rate. The rate was in response to the largest and most successful product launch in Cooper’s history for all brands and product lines. 1981 – 1987 | Tobias, Fidler and Goldiss | Hallandale, Florida TFG was an independent lighting sales agency. Independent Sales Representative ? The lines represented by this agency made a completed package and was made up of several independent lighting and ceiling manufacturers, both commodity and specification grade. ? Major task was to increase sales revenue and establish stock shelve position. Stock sales grew from 3.2 % of total sales on about $12 million to nearly 34 % on about $35 million in the next six years. ?
