Allied Electronics

Inquiry (采购产品): Allied Electronics - past due invoices 3/3/2009 Dear Gary Willis: I am contacting you today from ERAI, Inc. regarding a complaint that has been filed with our organization against your company by Allied Electronics for 17 past due invoices totaling $10,105.87. The invoice(s) in question date back to September 2008 and were scheduled for Net 30 day payment terms. Allied stated they have been unable to obtain payment as of this date despite their efforts to do so. Please be advised that if you have any disputes or discrepancies with the aforementioned information, it is important that you contact the ERAI office at 239-261-6268 by 3/6/2009. This complaint is scheduled to be listed on an ERAI Alert on 3/9/2009. Attached are copies of the documentation which ERAI received in reference to this complaint. Please review this documentation and verify its accuracy. Additionally, I have attached a brochure outlining ERAI’s investigative process for your reference. Please visit the ERAI website at www.erai.com and click on the Complaints Department button for more information about our reporting procedures and what to do when a complaint is filed against your company. Thank you for your assistance. Sincerely, Mary Dunham Case Manager Direct Line: 239-919-5841 Phone: 239-261-6268 ext. 318 Fax: 239-919-5826 Email: mary@erai.com ABOUT ERAI ERAI is a privately held global information services organization that monitors, investigates and reports issues that are affecting the global supply chain of electronics. Since 1995, ERAI has been the industry's primary reporting and investigation service, providing information and risk mitigation solutions to electronics professionals worldwide. Our concept is simple: We gather, verify, investigate and report information received from our Members, Affiliates, and Participants to expose potential problems in the hi-tech electronics industry. ERAI is dedicated to the reporting of accurate and timely information for the benefit of others to protect, unite and educate all parties involved in the purchase or sale of electronic components. ERAI’S REPORTING PROCESS As a result of companies sharing information with our organization, ERAI is able to warn our Members of problems in the industry via email alerts and an online searchable database of incidents. It is important to note that ERAI is NOT a collection company. The information we gather is compiled into a database that can be accessed by all ERAI Members which tracks and reports companies’ problematic transactions within the electronics industry. ERAI ALERTS More often than not, complaints that remain unresolved and those that pertain to undisputed unresolved debts will be released to our Members. Companies participating in our services elect to receive ERAI Alerts on a real-time, daily or weekly basis. ERAI Alerts are issued upon the completion of our investigative/verification process through "real time reporting". When the Reported Company's name and a copy of the incident summary are added to the ERAI Reported Company database on the ERAI Website, an ERAI Alert is distributed. This database is frequently referenced by our subscribers prior to doing business with potential customer(s) and vendor(s). Our database will be updated if the status of the complaint changes; however, it is the Reported Company's responsibility to notify ERAI if there is a change in the status of the dispute. If a Reported Company's account and/or situation are resolved, the dispute will be listed in our database as "resolved". Reported Companies are encouraged to contact ERAI with any and all updates to ensure the accuracy of the information available to our Members. ERAI DISPUTE ALERTS If ERAI finds there is insufficient or inconclusive evidence to substantiate a formal complaint (a product failure was reported outside of an agreed upon time-period, a test report could not be provided to substantiate a product nonconformance, the terms and conditions of a sale were violated by both parties, etc.), Reporting Companies may opt to release details of the case using the Dispute Alert option. In order for a Dispute Alert to be distributed, the Reporting Company must agree to be identified in the incident summary, unlike ERAI Alerts where the Reporting Company is afforded anonymity. Dispute Alerts also permit both companies involved in the dispute the opportunity to share their side of the story. Dispute Alerts are also distributed to all Members in the form of an email just like standard ERAI Alerts. ERAI GRIEVANCE COMMITTEE In September of 2004, ERAI created a value added service called the ERAI Grievance Committee. The purpose of the Committee is to: ? Serve as a sounding board for ERAI when investigating and mediating disputes ? Provide a means by which Buyers and Sellers involved in disputes can obtain a binding or nonbinding third party review ? Ensure companies who have had complaints filed against them are given an impartial review of their dispute and/or enable Reporting and Reported Companies the opportunity to dispute the findings of an ERAI Investigation by which they can demand a third party review ? Work with ERAI to establish policies and procedures which will govern future similar complaints If you are interested in having your dispute reviewed by the Grievance Committee during the course of ERAI’s investigation, please let your Case Manager know and we will make the necessary arrangements. Please be advised that ERAI reserves the right to have this dispute reviewed by the Grievance Committee at our own discretion if deemed necessary to do so.
