High Temperature Valves Inquiry (采购产品): High Temperature Valves 2 off – 2” NB Hand Operated, Through Bore Valves. Duty: Calcium Chloride at 1100°C and 1 bar nominal pressure. 11/03/2009 SALES Dear Sir / Madam Please find herein our requirements and process conditions. 2 off – 2” NB Through Bore Valves (ball, plug, butterfly, slide, etc) with or without ceramic lining for use with Calcium Chloride Duty at 1100°C and 1 bar nominal pressure. We are at the early development stage of a new electrolysis process. As a consequence, not all the design / working parameters are accurately defined. We are looking, currently, for 2 off through bore valves (ball valves, butterfly valve, plug valve, or similar with a straight through bore of reasonable cross-sectional area), hand operated, to act as isolation valves for molten calcium chloride salt at 1100°C as the circulated fluid. (Melting point 750°C, colourless liquid, viscosity 1cP) The calcium chloride will be dry and free of any water. There is the risk that some hydrochloric acid may be present. The concentration will not exceed 5% and most probably will be significantly lower than this, perhaps as low as 1%. Off gases during the electrolysis are:- CO / CO2 / HCl / Cl2. At the moment, our best guess on the size is 2” NB. We are unable to specify the flange rating, which is a function of the temperature and the material, other than ANSI. We trust that you may have the relevant data. Haynes International have suggested Hastelloy B3, Alloy 230, HR120 and HR160 as possible materials. Unfortunately, their ASME coding / classification only goes up to 850°C. Special Metals Wiggins Ltd have suggested Incoloy 800, Inconel 601 and Nimonic 263 as perhaps suitable materials. Thyssen Krupp VDM have suggested Nicrofer Alloy 602 CA as perhaps a suitable material. Your early response would be appreciated.
