Contract Manufacturing Inquiry (采购产品): Contract Manufacturing Contract manufacturing Inquiry A number of questions I have that will help us in our process. But first let me tell you essentially what we have and what we are looking for. Our concern is finding a partner that is knowledgeable, conscientious and familiar with the sourcing, handling and quality controls associated with storing, mixing and filling products with pure organic oils and essential oils. Cleanliness and maintaining purity and product integrity every step of the way is critical. We are producing a skin care product (kit) that will need to be filled in two, two (2) ounce amber glass bottles, and a third product to be contained in a separate two (2) ounce bottle. Together the package will contain three two ounce amber glass bottles, a bar of soap and a brochure. There will be a two piece gift box with removable lid made from 24 point paperboard approximately 8”x5”x2”, with a custom 4 cavity paperboard or corrugated cardboard insert to contain each of the four items separately, with our four color label to be affixed on the lid. If the box is custom made it will include a two color lid and a one color bottom (white). We will need the soap wrapped in waxed type paper, with our label affixed. All 3 of the amber glass bottles will need to have our pre-designed label affixed and 2 of the bottles will require a quality “treatment pump” and one bottle will require a “dropper.” We are looking for the contract packager to: 1) Sing non-disclosure agreement. 2) Print labels for amber glass bottles, soap bar, and gift box, and 4 color brochure? 3) Source and stock ingredients. 4) Produce a bar of soap. Wrap and label it. 5) Safely warehouse product. 6) Provide a gift box with custom 4 cavity insert, produce and apply label. 7) Provide Amber glass bottles and treatment pumps and droppers then fill, cap and label bottles. 8) Assemble each kit to include: 3 amber glass bottles, a bar of soap, a brochure, 4 cavity insert into two piece gift box Questions: ? Aside from the “confidentiality Agreement”, what assurances do we have that an employee or ex-employee does not duplicate, sell or distribute our proprietary information? ? Will we be able to use your various certifications and designations in our labeling and promotional material? ? How quickly could we expect your response in terms of ramping up for a large run as per time and quantity? ? If we had a change in bottle application or ingredient alteration, how would you adapt? Could you supply us with: ? Applicable trade association membership? ? Org chart ? Mission statement ? Insurance for product liability as to adding Carol Lee Organics to the “insured” ? Financial Statement ? Certification of organic products or other certifications ? Information as it pertains to quality controls for warehousing and handling organic oils to maintain purity and avoiding high temperature ? Information on washing or sterilizing of glass bottles prior to filling ?
