We are an air cooled small engine facility, providing engines for the following applications: walk behind lawn mowers, generators, pressure washers, and log splitters. Currently we test every engine filling it full with oil, but are pursuing the idea of just putting 2 ounces of oil in it, the minimum we can allow to be left in the engine. This will save us a tremendous amount of money and as all manufacturing knows still having operations located in the US, it is vital that we cost reduce as much as possible. We have tried different oils, greases, etc. but as of yet, cannot find the perfect combination to make this a success and was hoping you could send some technical support our way.
