Child Adoption Resource Association, Inc. is celebrating twenty years of creating families on November 6, 2009 at the fourth Forever Families Gala at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods Resort Casino. We are now looking for businesses to help us put together twenty exciting prize packages as raffle prizes! Your donation of a JAYPRO item will be used to entice regular people to purchase raffle tickets and be heroes to children in need. Profits from the raffle will go directly to Project Connecticut’s Child, our program to find, train, and approve families to adopt children in state foster care. Each year in Connecticut, more than 750 children are in need of adoptive families. Project Connecticut’s Child has become so successful that Child Adoption Resource Association expects to run out of funding for the grant based program by mid-2009. Turning away potential adoptive forever families for foster children is not in anyone’s best interest. Our goal is to raise $20,000 through our raffle this year, enabling us to prepare more families to adopt foster children through Project Connecticut’s Child.
