Inquiry (采购产品): EDM Notching Good morning Claudia, Could you please direct this request for estimated quote to where it needs to go. Thanks so much for your assistance! Could you please provide an off the cuff estimate of what the price would be to EDM notch the following or direct me to who could at UAH. I have attempted to contact the SEDSAT Team but have received no response: Three notches in each (35 total gears). Gear is 9310 steel, splines are masked i.e not carburized, splines are tempered martensite, Hardness is probably high 30's RC. Notch One: 0.040"L x 0.020" Deep x 0.005 Wide (maximum) Notch Two: 0.030"L x 0.015D x 0.005" W (max) Notch Three: a 0.060"L x 0.030"D x 0.005"W (max) Location: Each notch will be in a separate spline. Space the notches 120 degrees apart circumferentially and locate then 0.250, .0.500, and 0.711 from the spline end. Notches are to be located on the outboard face of the splines and .030 radially inboard from the top land. All notches are in the FLANK and not on the gear crown Notch Shape: Notches should be semi-circular (thumb nail) and located greater than 90 degrees apart circumferentially. Once we have a ball park of the cost of this project an official quote will follow. Thank you for your assistance, Teresa Rexing.
