Reviewed material flow throughout plant including, but not limited to, production planning, procurement releases, receiving processes, production scheduling, production processes, quality processes, shipping schedules and shipping processes. Created Master Action Plan for supplier to follow and reported to Chrysler on a daily basis. Created, reviewed, and approved PPAP submissions to Ford, Chrysler, and GM. Project Managed for various process changes and manufacturing moves at Tier 1 suppliers for Ford and Chrysler. Redesigned a number of Tier 1 supplier’s warehouses and inventory systems. Implemented and introduced Kanban to new and older Tier 1 suppliers to Ford, GM, and Chrysler. FORD MOTOR COMPANY – 1967-2003 (Retired) Material Handling Superintendent Supervised all aspects of manufacturing and production control of 1.5 million square foot automotive heater and air conditioning assembly plant. Controlled the just in time inventory levels of over $8 million in purchased parts. Controlled distribution of finished automotive heaters, air conditioners, and radiators to 17 Ford assembly plants throughout North America. Reviewed and monitored all assembly production throughout plant. Scheduled all material handling personnel (90) throughout plant, keeping labor to $10 thousand under budget (wkly average). Managed activities of four material handling supervisors. Material Planning & Logistic Analyst Special Project Analyst for the development of Ford’s CMMS computer system. Scheduled training without any loses to production. Created 110 working teams. Kept all departments under budget with excess dollars for additional training resources. Manufacturing Supervisor Supervised 20-50 UAW employees in the manufacturing of automotive heater and air conditioning units. Supervised 20-40 injection molding operations. Implemented first Self-Certification assembly line in plant. Chosen to supervise first robotic assembly line. Financial Analyst Direct and Indirect Labor Analyst responsible for tracking and reporting out, to plant operating committee, over/under to budget reports for each department.
