The powder is removed from the inside of the tubes by high air/steam pressure. The powder shall contain no less than 95% of metallic Zn and 98% Total Zn. The powder must be dry and free flowing. Birch no. 2 copper wire specification Shall consist of miscellaneous, unalloyed copper wire having a nominal 96% copper content (minimum 94%) as determined by electrolytic assay. It should be free of the following: Excessive lead, tin, soldered copper wire, brass and bronze wire, excessive oil content, iron, and non-metallics; copper wire from burning, containing insulation; hair wire; burnt wire which is brittle; and should be reasonably free of ash. Dross Dross is the by-product obtained from continious- or batch- galvanizing plants.
