We are medical device manufacturing company located at penang, Malaysia. Currently we are looking for TiN coating machine to do the titanium nitride coating using PVD technique on medical parts. Coating requirement : 1) Coating shall be deposited at a part temperature selected from the range of 204- 538 deg C. 2) The coating shall be applied using high purity foundry billet cathodes 3) Coating gasses shall be ultra high purity nitrogen. 4) The hardness of the coating shall be at least 2000 VHN 5) Coating thickness : 12.7 um max **6) for functional TiN coating on stainless steel, a multiple cathodic arc PVD process shall be employed. This process is consists of heating and cleaning phase, a coating phase, and cooling phase. During the cleaning phase, thin oxide film and impurities adhering to the substrate shall be removed by ion bombardment at high boas voltage. For non functional application, any coating process may be used provided it produces the desired appearance. 7) The coating process should never modify the substrate hardness. 8) The maximum allowable temperature shall be 50Deg F below the tempering temperature. The temperature of the parts shall never exceed 700 Deg F. parts shall be cooled below 400deg F prior to unloading.
