Good Day, Please allow me to introduce myself as one of the buyers for Earlex Limited. You may or may not know that Earlex Limited was established in 1987 to launch the world’s first DIY steam wallpaper stripper. Today, still dedicated to UK manufacture and with wallpaper stripper sales figures exceeding 6.5million, Earlex export a wide range of power decorating tools and power cleaning products across the globe. Despite intense competition over the years, Earlex have retained their position as market leader. The SS125 Wallpaper Stripper consistently outsells and outperforms any other product in the market (2008 GFK data) and, after driving Paint Spraying equipment into the DIY sector, the Earlex HV1900 Spray Station is the best selling Spray Gun in the UK. We are now looking to re-invent our professional wallpaper stripper by developing with a new supplier, a stainless steel drawn tank and are looking for companies that are able to assist us with this new project. We currently sell approx 10,000 of these a year and with a lower cost tank would be able to reach a larger base of customers, increasing sales. Any company that we decide to work with will need to show that they have efficient working practices and must be able to show that they trade ethically. If the pricing you provide is competitive we will need to see ethical documents and your factory’s approval certificates before we proceed. I have attached our technical drawings for the tank and you will notice that they show 3 different options for producing the rear part of the tank, PS0348, PS0348X or PS0348Y. You can decide which is more suited to your production operation. We will require the following if you are interested in quoting on this project: Tooling cost Tooling payment options Component cost for each of the three options with either PS0348, PS0348X or PS0348Y Proposal for payment terms – I currently ask my suppliers to deal on either LC 90 days from date of BL or TT 75 days from date of BL Obviously if you have ideas other than the methods we are suggesting for production, we would be glad to hear your suggestions.
