They want to widen their product and market range by offering scarves different fabric ranging quality. Please see below for some information: There are currently doing the following scarf dimensions and material used: 1. 100*100cm Cotton 70%/Silk30% 2.160*80cm Jersey Cotton 50%/Modal 50% The client says: “Currently we are using silk cotton for the 100*100cm and Jersey Cotton/Modal for the 160*80cm We are looking to reach the mid market and higher end market. To do this we would like to source and produce in a range of qualities in the following. This would of course mean having some fabrics to be blends and of different weights. The challenge with fabric weight is that it cannot be too heavy, as with digital printing the color penetration to other side is not always successful. Therefore we are looking for weights from 100-130 grams General Silk cotton (-organic cotton) linen wool cashmere We understand that at the moment our quantities may not be the largest, but we are aiming to continue our focus on specialty limited edition scarves. This means that our numbers per graphic print will remain smaller, but the variety and number of graphic prints will increase. Due to this, it would also be helpful to know the fabrics which you have on stock and are common with your own production or other customer production. Then maybe we can tag on to a fabric order if the minimum is much higher than what we can reach on our own. Below is how I would see us proceeding and some general questions. Steps: 1. To receive fabric swatches of fabrics on stock and requested 2. To receive a sample of finished piece to view quality 3.Select material we would produce with 4. Provide digital file of our pattern to make a proto. 5.Purchase material General Questions: 1. Minimums for fabric order 2. Minimums per print 3. Lead-time for protos (as we will need a print test per graphic print prior to beginning bulk production) 4.Lead-time for bulk orders We would want to begin the process immediately.” You can help us?
