When converters work with a new material they have to set the machines to work with all new parameters. The idea that next time around the parameters will be the same every time. 2.- Supplier has to stand behind his product. Should there be a quality issue or technical problem he has to be willing to make the trip to Chile to resolve the technical problem. Regardless of the problems, customers like to receive visits from suppliers about once a year.3.- Supplier has to have a workable price and capacity to supply.4.- We have to have a contract that protects us. Far to many times I have seen that once the supplier starts to sell to the converter and the ice has been broken, they like to go around the agent.
