Requirements:YFT and Bigeye 80-160lbs HGT for Los Angeles and Newark NJ/NY. grades 1, 2++, 2+.also Bigeye GGT (Head On, No Gills, NO Guts, NO Tail) 80-180lbs. can take 20-80 pieces per week grades 1, 2++, 2+. Also 40-59lb YFT HGT. 2. Documents/LogisticsThe AWB itemized Packing List, and Commercial Invoice are always needed first for importation and clearance purposes. Then followed by the Certificate of Health and the Certificate of Origin. 3. PackagingThe packing must be very good as well as the quality of the boxes, with white foam insulation. The foam insulation has to be sturdy and very thick; Most of our suppliers use boxes that hold 2-3 tuna that are 60-100lbs. This lowers the number of boxes in the shipments and can help expedite handling procedures. Also using bigger boxes gives you more options for packing different sizes of tuna. For example, you can pack a 60lb and a 90lb tuna in one box and save freight space. For keeping the tuna cold during the transit to the USA you must use BOTH GEL ICE AND DRY ICE. This will lead to consistent arrival temperatures of 32-36F. You must make sure that the dry ice is wrapped up and secured as far away from the product as possible so that it does not damage the product. If it touches the product it will also freeze it and discolor the meat of the tuna. The gel ice is ok to touch the tuna, and it is the best thing to have some gel ice packs inside the belly of the tuna during transport. Please do not have any exporter company information on the boxes. This includes printing in the box or paper labels attached to the box. This just creates confusion; please just have the exporter simply write all the necessary information regarding the box, numbers, tuna species, net weight, etc. directly onto the box. Please do not have any company information of any form on the outside of the shipping boxes, except only information for the box number and the product net weight, species, etc. Thank you.
