Programs are available for all veterans of all income levels. In order to receive benefits, a VA Healthcare application form 1010EZ must be filed. Dan Evangelista of the RI Division of Veterans Affairs as well as representatives from the Providence VA Medical Center and various veterans’ organizations will be available on Saturday, April 25, 2009 from 10am to 1pm at the Westerly Yacht Club, One Watch Hill Road, Westerly, RI to assist in the filing of VA Healthcare application--1010EZ. The service is free and an appointment is not necessary. All Veterans from Westerly as well as the surrounding towns of Charlestown, Hopkintown, and Richmond are encouraged to apply. A veteran's military discharge document--DD214--will be helpful, but not absolutely necessary for the submittal of the application.
