We are looking for someone to build a custom test fixture for comparison testing of OEM devices to our reprocessed devices. User requirements below: Please send quote. This test fixture will be used to test Arthroscopic Shavers and Surgical Saw Blades sharpness, made by OEM: Linvatec, Stryker, Dyonics, Microaire, most brands. User requierments: 1. The cutting head (saw assembly, shaver assembly, etc.) should be secured to a platform that translates on a set of Thompson Rails (or equivalent). This will provide a smooth path for the cutting head that isn’t susceptible to the ‘stick-slip’ of traditional guide ways. The Thompson rail system also prevents the cutting head from translating or rotating about other axes. 2. The rig should contain a provision for securing any cords attached to the saws or shavers such that they have enough length to permit the cutting head to travel without having to ‘drag’ the cord behind it , if a corded handpiece is selected. 3. The cutting head should be driven with a variable speed and feed controller and repeatable motion system. One concept involves using an electric motor and ball-screw that would be mounted beneath and between the Thompson Rails and covered with a bellows or similar shielding to prevent the cut media and irrigation from falling on the ball-screw and getting into the bearings.
