The discs need not be pretty and minor defects (scratches ets) are not an issue and it need not be cut to a high degree of precision. The exact diameter and thickness is not important. The metal disc will be used as a heat diffuser on a gas burner. It should be as flat as possible. This item will not be used in a commercial application. It's for home brewing beer.
