DABROWSKI 29 - SIXTH AVENUE NORTH TONAWANDA, N.Y. 14120 (716) 694-1610 E-mail: DABROWSKI@JUNO.COM POSITION APPLYING: QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR __________________________________________________________________________________________ OBJECTIVE: To obtain a position in “QUALITY CONTROL”, mainly a “Mechanical Inspector” to work for the following departments: Machine Shop, Line Inspector, Receiving, Assembly, or where ever I’m needed. With numerous years of experience in mechanical inspection, knowledge of maintenance, and calibration of precision measuring instruments. Ability to inspect machined components and assemblies for dimensional conformance to drawing specifications. Experience in verification of special processes, including heat-treat, plating, welding, and anodizing. PROFILE: EXPERIENCE HISTORY: 1. Performed all incoming and out-going quality inspections on customer parts to ensure specifications are met prior to shipping. This included preliminary and post deposition visual inspections and maintenance of appropriate documentation. 2. Experience with Micrometers, Calipers, Verniers, Height Gauges, Depth Gauges, and all hand on Instruments. . 3. CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine), and Optical Comparator experience. Able to create programs using MeasureMax and PCDMIS for DCC CMMs. 4. Excellent Blueprint Reading, including “Geometrical Tolerance and True Positioning”, good understanding of geometric symbols and tolerances. Excellent attention to detail. 5. Performed vendor quality audits to ensure they meet ISO requirements and to ensure we are receiving the best quality materials for our purchases. 6. Performed internal spot check audits to ensure procedures are being followed and properly implemented. 7. Maintained and updated calibration records including lab equipment, employee instruments, and maintenance records. . 8. Inspected first articles for machine shop and assembly, also performed random in-process inspections on all products, and finished goods inspections as required. Identified non-conformances or issues that affected product quality. Insured that non-conforming products were quarantined, informed all non-conforming issues to Floor Supervisor and QC Manager. 9. Helped with Internal Auditing teams to ensure quality documentation to constantly updated and improved. Implementing new requirements so that all production work should be performed with a written procedure in-hand. 10. Help designee and develop all-inclusive manufacturing checklists for each product line and ensure full implementation into the written procedures and practices. 11. Performed root-cause investigations for all non-conforming products and materials. 12. Ensured corrective action were implemented and verified for effectiveness. 13. Have good written and verbal communication skills. 14 Have good computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. WORK HISTORY: 10/2008 – 06/2009 DELPHI HARRISON THERMAL SYSTEMS, 200 Upper Mountain Road, Lockport, N.Y 14094 SUMMARY: A temporary position worked as third-party quality control services through Inprax at Delphi as a “Quality Control Inspector”. DUTIES: Worked 3rdd shift as floor inspector, and incoming parts inspector. Inspected radiators and condenser parts from sub-contractors. Duties included calibration, receiving first article, in process and final inspection. Documented on paper and computer. Used blueprint and travelers, documenting dimensions, also wrote nonconformance tags and quarantined the bad parts for engineering review. 05/2005 –07/2008 PFANNENBERG INC., 4087 Walden Ave., Lancaster, N.Y. 14086 POSITION: 1st SHIFT MECHANICAL RECEIVING INSPECTOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Inspect semi-finished and finished product utilizing detailed instructions and/or general inspection guidelines. Collected, recorded, analyzed and recorded data and observation. Worked with suppliers, customers and outside agencies as required. WORK EXPERIENCE: Machine Shop, Assembly, Sheet Metal and Receiving Inspection. MEASURING INSTRUMENTS USED: Used a wide range of micrometers, calipers, thread gages, optical comparator and CMM. DUTIES: 1) Used CMM and programmed coordinate machine for parts. 2) Inspected parts by using blueprint and routers. 3) Used MS Office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint for documentation and demonstrations. 4) Followed ISO 9000:2001 Certification policies and procedures, Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing and OSHA Safety standards. 5) Was responsible to inspect incoming, in-process and final inspections on components and parts used in the manufacture of heat exchangers and heat transfer products. 6) Documented all results if inspection. ? 7) Worked with shop associates, engineering and quality assurance to resolve issues and suggested improvements. 8) Was Responsible for identification and segregation of non-conforming material 01/1996 - 04/2005 TRICO PRODUCTS CORPORATION, 817 Washington Street, Buffalo, N.Y. 14203 POSITION: 2nd SHIFT SUPERVISIOR MECHANICAL LINE INSPECTOR SUMMARY: Trico manufacturing built and sold complete wiper systems, as well as blades, arms, linkages, motors, and vision modules. Trico supplied the three major automakers with wiper blades. DUTIES: Supervised floor inspectors in “Rubber Dept”, extruding rubber through dies to make windshield wiper blades. My job was to do oversee line inspectors doing 1st piece inspection, before full line production was started. Inspected machined parts with the following equipment Sheffield Cordax CMM with Sheffield Maxlite Software and a Brown and Sharpe Electronic height gage; Gage Pins; Micrometers; Calipers; Bore Gages; Optical Comparator; Threaded ring and plug gages; and used Gage Blocks. . RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDED: First piece, In-Process, and Final inspection. Wrote inspection reports when required. Worked with engineering on print clarification and changes when necessary. Inspected Plating and heat treat requirements from outside vendors. 02/81 – 11/95 BELL AEROSPACE TEXTRON, 1000 Niagara Falls Blvd., Wheatfield, N.Y. 14304 POSITION: GAGE TECHNICIAN “Class 1A, Senior Technician. FLOOR INSPECTOR: Senior Lead Inspector SUMMARY: Started as “Gage Technician, Class IIB”, after 3 years became “Class 1A Senior Gage Inspector”, also when in need, did work on the floor, as a “Senior Lead Inspector”. DUTIES: 1) Maintain records for control and use of “Personal and Designed Tooling, of measuring equipment in accordance with “MIL-STD-45662”. 2) Did actual calibration of “Personal Hand Tools, Company Tools and Measuring Fixtures”. 3) Performed “AQR”, function in absence of supervisor. 4) Did surface plate inspections on critical components, “Tools, Jigs, Fixtures and Gauge Devices”. 5) Assisted supervision in planning and implementing manpower required. 6) Performed visual inspections and non-destructive testing when required. 7) Helped in inspection methods/techniques to improve inspector’s productivity. 8) Provided direction in resolution of problems, arising during the inspection activity. 9) Insured that all measuring equipment/personal tools are calibrated on a timely basis. 10) Maintained Gage/Test/and Personal documentation. Responsible for applicable manufacturing logs. 11) Was responsible for proper utilization, and maintenance of inspection equipment.
