Please return an itemized quote for the entire period, covering all costs, portal to portal. Once the assessment is reported, we intend to solicit quotes for contract services to conduct the on-site repairs and/or upgrades to these machine tools. You will find the following information helpful: 1. Our shipyard is located on the Atlantic Side of the Isthmus, located about 2 miles south of Colon City), and about 55 miles from the Tocumen International Airport, outside of Panama City, on the Pacific Side.. Rental cars are available at the airport and we may have a volunteer employee who could drive your rental to to the hotel and our shipyard. 2. A 5-star hotel, the Sol Melia Panama Canal, is located southeast of the shipyard, in Ft. Espinar, about 3 miles from our shipyard. The Melia website is http://es.solmelia.com/hoteles/panama/colon/melia-panama-canal/home.htm, where you may access rates. This is he most secure hotels on the Atlantic Side. 3. A Government of Panama (GOP) law, governing contract services provided by foreign country sources, mandates that a 15 percent tax be paid to the GOP on all labor charges for such services performed in Panama. Be sure to include that tax in your quote for labor. We look forward to receiving your quote.
