Three seawater screens shall be provided on the end of two existing intake pipelines and one screen shall be kept in the store and can be installed on standby pipeline or on another two intake pipelines if it will be necessary. Maintenance free drum type screens are proposed, Capacity of the screen should be at least 600 m3/h with approaching velocities not greater than 0.15 m/sec. Screen material shall be Cooper–Nickel 90/100 alloy, which is befouling resistant. Slot size shall be 2 mm to prevent marina growth on the screens. On the inlet part of the screen the existing air backwash line as well as chlorine pipeline shall be connected.
