I need a electric motor and speed controller that will give the trailer a boost so to eliminate the drag on the bicycle. What I would like to have is a system that will activate when a tension switch, located in the hitch assembly, is activated by the drag placed on the bicycle and trailer. Once activated the speed controller would verify the speed of the bicycle by receiving information from the bicycle speedometer, then powering the electric motor to match the speed of the bicycle. Also the system might have the capability to give a boost to the bicycle if a hill is encountered. The system could be controlled by control mounted on the handle bar, either wired or wireless. My goal is to have a trailer that will be able to carry up to 200-300 pound of weight. I figure that the controller would need to be able to monitor the speed and weight while in motion. I would like to make it a 12 volt system. Can you help me with this project.
