The expected date for bidding is foreseen in March, 2008. Herebelow are some data about the Project: Client: Jeddah Cable Company Client Representative: Millennium Development International Consultant and Project Manager: Dar Al Handasah (Shair & Partners) Project: New Manufacturing Facilities at Rabigh Country: Rabigh - Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Land size: 400,000 m2 Built Up area: 160,000m2 The construction works include but are not restricted to the following main elements: · Four plastic compounds production plants namely, PVC plant (6,447 m²), XLPE LV (7,230m²) plant MV plant (5,662m²), and HFFR and PE black plant (4,926m²). · Building Wire (BW) production plant (23,100m²) · Extra High Voltage (EHV) production plant (48,960m²) · Support facilities including Central utility plant (2,550m²), electrical substations and power generation plant (1,900m²), and workshops. · Staging areas, material storage area, and scrap storage area. · Administration building (4800 m²), staff housing, cafeteria, and sports and leisure area. · Entrance gates, weigh bridges, circulating roads and paved paths suitable for pedestrians as well as cyclists. · Infrastructure including a sewage treatment Attached is a perspective view of the project for easy reference. Firms wishing to participate in the bidding process must be pre-qualified. In order to be considered for inclusion in the lists of pre-qualified bidders, firms should fill in the attached pre-qualification document (word format) and return it in one (1) original and two (2) copies to Millennium Development International at the below mentioned address not later than 12:00 hours noon on Wednesday January 31, 2008, at the latest, duly completed and accompanied by the required supporting documents.
