Presently your UV detection is limited to the detection of the Paper of the currency notes as to whether it is UV positive or negative or whether UV light passes thru the note or UV light is not absorbed by the paper. We need additional function as under: In India we have two types of notes in circulation. 1. Old type Notes (before 2005 printed) which has a 2 mm Silver Security thread which changes the color under UV Light. For different denominations, the Silver thread color is changed to different colors depending upon the denominations of the currency. It changes to VIBGYOR color in case of Rs. 1000/- notes. In case of Rs. 500/ and Rs.100/-Notes it changes to BLUE Color and in case of Rs. 50/- Notes, it changes to green color. The old type Notes do not have any MAGNETIC INK used for their printing. In case of NEW TYPE NOTES Printed after 2005, The color of the silver Thread is changed to GREEN ND WIDTH IS INCREASED TO 3MM. Under UV Light only the words \'rbi\' and \'bharat\' printed inside the Green Thread will glow. Please note that only the words glow and not the Whole thread. In case of old type the whole thread changes the color. In new notes the Green color of the Security does not change. If you can offer Machine with UV Sensors which can detect as above , wee may be able to buy about 12000 nos. yearly. One More noteworthy difference is as under. In case of NEW TYPE NOTES, MAGNETIC INK IS USED. But magnetic detection is not useful because both the types of Notes are in circulating and Banks always get Mixed Bundle of old and new type Notes. Hence if the magnetic Detection is used, it will reject all the genuine old type of notes as no Magnetic ink is used in their printing.
