For answering to the needs of the cigarettesmanufacturers, a high productivity and flexibility are requested.For meeting this specific market, ATN has developed sincemany years a unique concept of modular units.For the high productions, the line is usually dedicated to onetype of finishing, but due to their original design, differentfinishing units can be installed in line with the same rotogravureprinting machine.As example, in many cases the hinge lid boxes represent themain product to manufacture, but although quantities aresmaller, soft packs delivered in labels or in reels are alsorequested, and dont justify the investment of a complete line.On a another hand, when cigarettes manufacturer design anew packaging and want to test it on the market, the quantitiesof hinge lids are too small for investing in a new completeset of rotary tools. In this case it is cheaper to print andcut the board in sheets and finish them on an offline platen,on witch the tools costs are smaller.This configuration can also be used for application of hotgold stamping or holograms on a sheet-fed platen.This multipurpose lines allows a very good flexibility and versatilityfor the production.
