Climactic & Environmental Conditions. The power transformer to be supplied shall be suitable for continuous full load operation in the following circumstances: (a) Maximum temperature 40 o.C. Average 28 o C. (b) Maximum humidity 100% Average 60% (c) Direct sunshine: Approx. 7 Hours continuous. (d) Located in open space exposed to direct sunshine. (e) Feeds in and out from ground level manholes. (f) Acceptable/Low sound level.required. (g) Acceptable temperature rise of any component not to exceed 15 Deg C. over ambient. B. Construction features & Mechanical - Characteristics. (a) Copper bearing steel tank or equivalent phosphate treated inside and out and prime painted to maximize corrosion resistance.in the circumstances described. (b) Runners designed for conrete padmounting and easy manuevering into place. (c) Environmentally friendly silicone, oil or proprietary liquid insulation fill. (d) Stainless steel earthing lug welded to tank. (e) Corrosion immune nameplate as per NEMA standard affixed with stainless steel hardware to tank. (f) Steel enclosures for Primary & Secodary terminals space for primary metering CTs & PTs & associated terminal blocks, cabling ports and easily dismountable access covers. (g) Adequate strength lifting lugs to be securely fitted. C. Electrical Characteristics (a) Vector Group: YY0 (b) Basic Impuse Levels (BIL), 90 or as required by JPSCo to suit system fault level. (c) Voltage ratings, ratios and tappings as stated above. (d) Robust ALCU compatible terminals throughout. (e) Externally operated Off-Load tap-changer switch. D. Accessories (a) Guages: Oil Level, Core temperature, gas pressure.dial type indicators to be factory fitted. (b) Indelibly engraved nameplate showing all essential electrical/mechanical data & characteristics to be fitted. E. Test Reports & Documentation. (a) Five sets complete documentation including tester signed factory Test Reports, Installation, Operating & Maintenance Manual(s). (b) Complete sets export/import shipping documents. as required by the shipping agents and Customs broker.
