Inquiry (采购产品): carbide end mill cutting To Whom It May Concern: I am looking for an efficient means to cut ?” dia. 4 flute carbide end mills. In several of our production machining jobs we use the last 1/8” of the side flutes on ?” dia. 4 flute carbide end mills. When the cutter gets dull, we grind them shorter to get to sharp flutes again. We can do this 4 or 5 times before the flutes are gone. We are currently doing this by hand with a diamond wheel mounted on a bench top grinder, and grinding about 1/8” off the length. As production has increased this method has become too dusty, time consuming, and puts too much heat into the cutters. I am looking for a better way. My preferred method would include coolant to keep the cutters from heating up, cut them off –vs- grinding them down, and also keep the carbide dust out of the air. Please reply at your earliest convenience.
