Stainless Steel Tanks Request for Bids PALTRADE's purpose is to lead the development of Palestinian trade as a driving force for sustainable national economic growth. As the National Trade Development Organization (NTDO) and with a membership of more than 220 Palestinian leading businesses, PalTrade advocates a competitive, enabling business environment and is dedicated to improving trade competitiveness through trade promotion and capacity building. PALTRADE was awarded a grant from ACDI/VOCA under the USAID-funded West Bank Food Security Program (FSP) to implement olive production, harvesting, pressing and oil storage project. The project’s main objective is to increase smallholder income through enhanced olive farmers and cooperatives capacity to produce extra-virgin olive oil. The project will support 500 farmers affiliated with eleven olive producing cooperatives in adopting collective harvest, olive pressing and storage schemes. Produced extra-virgin olive oil will be transported from the olive presses using mobile stainless steel tanks to the storage locations where oil will be stored in stainless steel storage tanks. These tanks will be installed in the eleven targeted cooperatives' stores that are located in the villages and cities of five districts in West Bank. Consequently, PALTRADE is requesting qualified US firms capable of delivering the required U.S. manufactured stainless steel tanks to submit their offers according to the provided bidding specifications, with all costs included, for the stated items Door to Door plus installation ,West bank , by e-mail at aqasas@paltrade.org, and in a hard copy form to the following address: PALTRADE – Al-Watanieh Towers Bldg, 5th floor, Al-Bireh, P. Box : 883,Ramallah Palestine, The Tender Special conditions - Bank guarantee or Bank Certified cheque should be issued in the value of 5% of the total value of the tender with the price offer as a tender entrance guarantee - All goods needed must be manufactured in the United States of America. - The goods must be delivered according to the specifications, Door to Door plus installation ,West Bank, within a month after receiving a purchase order from PALTRADE and no later than October 1st 2007. - If any differences exist between the delivered goods and the agreed specifications, the contracted company will assume responsibility for this, and PALTRADE has the right not to accept the delivered goods. - Offer prices must be submitted in US $ and not include VAT. - Prices include the delivery and installation of the tanks in 11 locations in the villages of Jenin, Tulkarem, Qalqilya, Salfit, and Bethlehem districts in the West Bank. - Prices should include 11 Stainless Steel olive oil pumps with a minimum capacity of 2 Tons per hour oil pumping. - All the goods must be packaged in the proper way so that potential damage can be avoided. - A special agreement will be signed between PALTRADE and the selected vender including all technical and financial conditions and responsibilities. - The submitted prices by the supplier or trader must include all obligations of the contract and all the necessary measures to guarantee the delivery of required goods Door to Door plus installation ,West Bank, - The selected vender shall provide PALTRADE with a certificate of origin for all required goods. - The selected vendor shall provide PALTRADE with certificate of registration as a US registered firm. - The selected vender will be required to provide PALTRADE with proper performance bond , such as a Bank certified cheque, bank insurance, a letter of credit or a bank letter of guarantee (personal cheques or cash deposits will not be accepted). The performance bond shall be in an amount equivalent to 10% of the total agreement value and extend for two months after receipt of the goods. - Offers will be evaluated based on best value, and not best price. - PALTRADE reserves the right to award to any or none of the offers. A transparent pipe shall be fixed on the side of the tank to show oil height ? Tank Openings: - 0.5" valve on top for air vacuum. - 2" valve on top for filling - 1.25" valve at the lower point of the base for cleaning - 1" valve on lower side of the tank for oil discharge - 60 centimeter opening on top with tight lid for tank cleaning ? Purples welding with a mixture of helium to prevent using the oxidizing substances to clean the tank. ? Thickness of the upper and lower sides of the tank should be 3 millimeter Stainless Steel L 304, compressed with the other parts of the tank and not welded ? Tank must be rounded with 3 Stainless Steel belts to strengthen the tank to bear the pressure.
