enquiry for timber Inquiry (采购产品): enquiry for timber May we introduce ourselves that we are a large leading manufacturer and distributor of prefabricated building and furniture in Thailand for more than 54 years. For more information, please visit oru website www.luckubuilding.com and www.furnituresystem.com We are now looking for timber for making prefabricated building, details as under :- Timber : to be chain of custody certified (from a certified, sustainable mill under either FSC or SFI certification systems which the certificate has to be shown). A) Type of timber : treated softwood, species could be Spruce or Pine, other species will be considered provided all durability criteria remain valid. Timber to be Structural Grade, Kiln Dried 12-20% humidity, and dressed 4 sides. The timber is to conform to at least the minimum standards mentioned below or equivalent : Extracts from Trade Grading Rules and European Standards. Machine graded to EN 519:1995 or visually graded to EN 518:1995 and BS4978:1996, to strength classes as defined in EN 338 2003. Appearance graded timber is to be graded to the producing companies normal rules which take as a baseline national rules. Appearance grading rules to apply to best face and both edges. B) Treatment of Timber : The treatment should comply with safe, acceptable standards against insect, especially termite, and fungal attack. In addition, Supplier must guarantee in writing that the treatment is completely fit for its purpose i.e. it is safe for humans (adults and children of all ages) in circumstances where the treatment will be used internally (including in bedrooms / sleeping areas), with possible prolonged direct skin contact with the wood, over a period of many years. All treatments to be certified by third party audit scheme such as AgriQuality treatment programme or equivalent. Supplier to specify name of treatment chemical and registration certification with parameters of penetration and retention as per applicable standards. C) Certificates to be provided in addition to standard the abovementioned : - Phytosanitary certificate - Certificate of origin and traceability of source by FSC or SFI assurance scheme D) Size of Timber 1. 45 x 45mm x L = about 800 M3 2. 20 x 184mm x L = about 4080 M3 Total = about 4880 M3 Remarks : we can accept width from 120-200 mm Please consider and advise that whether it is possible for you to supply the above required timber and to provide the required documents. If yes, please offer us your best price with leadtime. Partial shipments are allowed.
