Innovative Conduit Inquiry (采购产品): Innovative Conduit Dear Upper Management: As the co-inventors of Innovative Conduit, we are looking for manufacturers who might be interested in a joint venture or a full buyout of our concept. This type of conduit would be longitudinly divided and rejoinable. We'll FAX you the drawings so you can understand our concept. When overhead utility lines are to be placed underground, the present method is that all new conductors or trunk lines are pulled through conventional conduit from end-to-end. Our concept would allow existing trunk lines (such as telephone) to be lowered from the poles, placed in the lower half of our Innovative Conduit, enclosed with the top half, and then the whole assembly placed into the trench. The system should yield integration savings in time, labor, and material. Many of these unsightly trunk lines (sometimes paralleling two or three) could all be placed, together, into our conduit. For the most part, these facilities have been overhead for many years, and they represent a rather obsolete technology and replacing them in-kind by conventional new conductors is not justified economically, plus any services would be interrupted for long periods. Presently the City of San Diego has a very aggressive undergrounding program where all residential streets will be included in their undergrounding, as well as the commercial streets. They estimate 1500 miles at a cost of over $2 billion. Many other cities and states are looking at their master plan, and they may possibly use the City of San Diego's method for undergrounding existing transmission lines. At present the estimated cost for undergrounding utilities is approximately $200 a foot! It is our belief that our idea is original and our patent will be granted.
