As I am sure you are aware there are a number of people who come up with ideas that are absolutely positive the idea will be an instant success. You probably deal with this issue on a regular basis. I will try not to sound like I am of the same ilk. My idea for an invention came about from the necessity to complete tasks that were not addressed by the manufactured products currently available in the marketplace. I did not even consider it an invention until a customer told me it indeed was one. “The Stirwhip” as I call it, came about out of my 32 years of experience as a cabinetmaker/carpenter. The need to mix and stir many different liquids and materials in a wide variety of containers were always messy and time consuming. By making this tool I have been able to more uniformly prepare paints, putties, glues, compounds, grout and concrete with a tool that I can clean up easily or throw away when I am finished. After many of my colleagues and customers saw this invention they wished to purchase one for themselves. I thought it might indeed be something a company such as yours could be interested in offering as a part of your product line. I am assuming that there is a division within your company that could produce and distribute a product such as mine. I have to date filed for a provisional patent application and currently have filed a patent application with the USPTO for a non provisional patent. I have also filed a PCT application to proceed with patents in other countries as well. The name “Stirwhip” has been filed for trademark protection with the USPTO and the demonstration DVD included with this packet has been copyrighted with the Library of Congress. I have also reserved a web domain address for “The Stirwhip”. I also have working prototypes I use in my business. I am currently contacting many other companies such as yours to see if they would be interested in this invention. I am awaiting their marketing analysis and responses.
