Inquiry (采购产品): Laser weld 2-6cyl blocks together I have 2 experimental 6 cylinder race engines. It requires welding two sections (pieces) together to make one-6 cyl block. The weld is completely around the entire width of the block, inside and outside. A small window on the lifter side has been cut out for laser access to welding. The blocks are Aluminum 356 castings. Conventional tig welding causes to much distortion since the bores are finished,only a small amount of distortion is allowable. These blocks are currently in Burton, Ohio so a visual can be delivered to your shop. Let me know and we will deliver and answer any questions.
