CURRENT EMPLOYMENT : Eastman Kodak Company Rochester, New York December 1980-present POSITION: Lead mechanical designer for photographic film, paper, x-ray coating and digital machinery that operates in numerous Kodak plants within the United States and throughout the world (i.e. Brazil, England, France, China, Australia, Canada and Mexico). I have experience with ANVIL 1000 and 4000 systems. Also I have used UNIGRAPHICS V9-V17 systems. I am presently using UNIGRAPHICS NX-2 software in my job function. RESPONSIBILITES: -Created conceptual layout and assembly drawings. Also I provided detail drawings and also oversaw the designs and details of others. -Worked within the Kodak Research and Development community. During which time I was co-author of two patents that were submitted by Kodak and eventually adopted. -Estimated designs and schedules for various projects -Released completed designs to the shops department for fabrication and assembly. -Dealt with Kodak’s internal shops department and outside vendors during the fabrication and assembly process of the project. PAST EMPLOYMENT: Farrell Corporation Rochester, New York June 1977-December 1980 POSITION: -Assumed the role of mechanical detailer, layout draftsman and designer of the heavy machine tool equipment provided in this companies product line for the railroad, shipbuilding, and turbine generator manufacturing industries. These industries came from not only the United States, but, also in Russia, India, Korea, Canada, and China. These machines included Open Side and Vertical Boring Mills, Lathes, Wheel Borers, Mounting and Demounting Presses. WILLIAM A. These included a maintenance area as well as other diverse engineering groups. -After graduation from the apprenticeship, I elected to work in the photographic paper and film manufacturing division at Kodak Park. From there, we are employed by other Kodak plants worldwide to provide engineering support to upgrade or provide new machinery.
