We are interested in evaluating abrasive wear properties of detonation sprayed WC-Co coatings deposited on mild steel substrate using suitable abrasives. Vickers hardness of (HV 1100 –1200) was measured in WC-Co coatings. To study the coating hardness effects on abrasive wear, tests have to be carried out using abrasives of different hardness values.
