Extra holes For high volume production where high free area is required, all across perforating is the optimum solution All across v Turret Punching Turret-type punch presses gives sheet metal workers access to high precision punching at low entry cost. For low-volume requirements this is a viable option. For high volumes, however, where high free area (i.e a lot of holes) is required, all across perforating is the best solution. A coil fed all-across perforating press running at high speed can produce typically 400 000 holes in a minute. In-line slitting, guillotining and automated stacking help to produce a typical specification 2500 x 1250 with 150000 holes at the rate of 70 per hour. Compare this with a turret-type punch press, which will produce the same specification at the rate of 3 or 4 per hour. Complexity The all-across perforating process is able to produce a surprising variety of complex patterns.
