Inquiry (采购产品): iStrap neoprene extrusion My business partner and I are working on a prototype for a new concept. We call it the iStrap. It is a headband made with a core of neoprene that has a small compartment for the iPod Shuffle. The neoprene extrusion gives us wire raceways to channel the earphone wires to the sides of the headband, where a hole will allow the earbud to drop out near the ears. See attached "concept drawings - iStrap.pdf" for a few illustrations. The light grey material is what I need your help with. The darker grey is probably some thick cloth that will be stitched to the ends of the extrusion to form a loop. It will have a small window to allow the user to scroll through the mp3's on his iPod. We are still in the conceptual phase of this idea, but I wanted to get a rough estimate of what this would cost. I have never designed a neoprene rubber extrusion, so I hope the dimensions of the extrusion are within reach. Material should be soft (around Shore A45 or so), with some decent elasticity to fit snugly on the head. Color shouldn't be an issue because we had planned on encasing the whole thing in a spandex material. Are you familiar with stitching materials onto neoprene? I know they do it on wet suits, but I don't know anything about the process. Please give us a estimate on what it would cost to manufacture a prototype of the head band. If this works out we will have a lot more orders for you. If you can do this we can email you the design we made in CAD. This has all of the correct measurements. **** Hidden Message ***** Todd McDougall Austin, TX 78730 USA Company: Istraps E-mail: mcdougallmortgages@gmail.com **** Hidden Message ***** mcdougallmortgages@gmail.com
