Inquiry (采购产品): Patented Engine Dear Sir, Global warming is a big concern. Crankshaft engine emissions are blamed for some of it. My patented engine can replace all crankshaft engines and hybrids with a cheaper alternative that provides higher power to weight with lower emissions than any crankshaft engine or hybrid. The patented engine invention (U.S. patent no. 7,128,042 date 31 OCT 2006) titled, “Interchangeable 2-Stroke or 4-Stroke High Torque Power Engine” is available for license. The patent shows a 1-way clutch to transmit the piston power to a straight power shaft. An alternative 1-way clutch in my U.S. patent no. 6,571,925 date 3 Jun 2003 can also be used in this engine. The broad claims in the patented engine include at least 3 engine embodiments which are detailed in the website www.abetterengine.com under “A Fuel Efficient Offset Piston Engine”. The website pays special attention to the mathematics that explains why a crankshaft engine cannot be made fuel efficient and why this engine will be. The efficiency at any crankshaft angle can be quickly calculated using the math and a hand calculator. An example is given to show that the efficiency of every crankshaft at angle 10 degrees after top dead center is 1.95%. Excessively compressed combustion gases reduce the efficiency further with losses from heat, bypass gases, reenergizing the flywheel with every power stroke, fusion of elements that cause CO2, etc. Combustion force vectors control a combustion engine’s power and efficiency. The website embodiments detail how to get maximum use of combustion force vectors for the best power and fuel efficiency. The two most efficient vectors are: (1) tangent to an arc and (2) parallel to a straight line. There must also be a resistance sufficient to create a combustion force that is neither too large nor too small for best fuel efficiency. The length of the piston offset in this invention determines the resistance. The vector is tangent to an arc with a radius equal to the length of the piston offset. This and much more is explained to create an efficient high torque power engine. The power shaft’s high torque power, low rotation rate in this invention makes an efficient Continuously Variable Transmission simpler to design. Transmission fluid would not be needed. Power stroke overlap is explained in the engine patent. In FIG 8, the special idler 40A engages the sector gears 12 for a 4-stroke. Displacing idler 40A in FIG 9 allows two 2-cylinder 2-stroke engines where the ignition timing is controlled by the engine computer in FIG 7 to get the overlap.
