Inquiry (采购产品): PLC I am currently employed by Chicago Bridge and Iron Company in Houston. I have a good background in 480V-13.8KV Power Systems and the components to control such systems such as Switchgear and Motor Control Centers. I am seeking some information (preferably in an electronic-computer format) that would allow me a better understanding of the applications, hardware, differences, etc. of PLC and DCS systems. In my career, I was often required to provide analog (4-20 MA) or digital (dry contact) signals for use in both DCS and PLC applications. I am relatively familiar with “ladder logic” as is used in circuits built from discrete electromechanical components and how the logic of normally open, normally closed, relay coils, indicating lights, timers, etc. function. I am trying to relate this knowledge to the more modern DCS and PLC control systems. Can you advise where I can find an online source of information or perhaps a vendor CD regarding this area of expertise? Thank you for your assistance in this matter. Michael D. Servat, P.E.
