Inquiry (采购产品): Trivalent Chromate coating I am a PhD student at Wright State University, Dayton, OH 45434. My research project involves "Alternate corrosion protection systems to Hexavalent Chromate coating." This is to comply with RoHS, WEEE and ELV directives and also the proposed OSHA regulations about the Hexavalent Chromium Permissible exposure limits. In order to propose a particular method to a manufacturing company, we are to test flat-panel samples on which the corrosion protective coating process must be carried out. The coating must consist of a zinc layer and/or a passivation conversion treatment. The zinc may be applied by electrodeposition or mechanical plating. And the top coating must be with Trivalent chromium. The final product will be used to carry out the ASTM B117 Salt Spray (Fog) tests. The coating is expected to possess excellent corrosion resistance, self-healing, scratch/wear resistance, electrical conductivity, withstand 200-300 hrs to RED RUST and be cost effective. This study will lead to the recommendations so that the manufacturing facility can try those alternates. Since we are part of an educational institution, would it be possible for you to donate coatings applied to our flat panel specimens that we will need to test. We have 6 samples of dimensions (5*3*1/32)”. The coating thicknesses We are looking for is 0.001" for 3 samples and 0.0005" for another 3 samples. In case you cannot donate these samples to us, please provide some guidance so that we know the costs to apply coating on our specimens. My advisor, Dr. Goswami, and I would like to thank you for your efforts to support this study and any data that you can share with us will be used confidentially. Thank you. **** Hidden Message ***** Junitha Michael 207 Russ Engineering Center 3640 Colonel Glenn Hwy.
