Inquiry (采购产品): large scale conical steel towers Hi I’m looking around to find out if there is anyone in Canada that can fabricate large scale conical steel towers roughly 85 meters high. The base is 4 meters wide and the whole thing will need to be galvanized. The job will consist of 26 x 1.5MW wind turbines – coming in 2 batches from Spain. The turbines weight about 90 tons each and the towers are about 127 tons each. If I can spare ourselves the shipping of the monster size monopoles over the ocean, that would be great. I’d really like to see these made in Canada if at all possible. I’m open to these being fabricated by a few companies. For example, perhaps one shop could do the rolling, another could the flanges, and another could do the galvanizing. I haven’t located anyone with a tank large enough to galvanize these towers. I’m attaching a simple drawing to give you an idea of dimension. We are trying to get all the details from our supplier in Spain for this quote for a wind farm in Idaho. We don’t even know the wall thickness at this point. From the drawing, it looks like around 3.5cm. They are 9 hours apart and we keep missing each other. ? Anyway, I just need to know who can do this for now. Please let me know if this is something your shop can handle and if not perhaps you could recommend someone who could.
