Inquiry (采购产品): Steel Beam - residential construction Looking for an I-Beam or flat plate to replace a load bearing inside wall. Right now the engineer has the load calculated to 585lbs per linear foot. As the general contractor I am looking for the smallest beam possible that will cover the 19'6" span. Right now I'm being presented with choices of a glulum beam 4"x12" or pine beam at 6"x12" - each of these options has it hanging too low in my opinion - 12" down from the ceiling.
