Inquiry (采购产品): Questions regarding the proccess and prices of product design We are in the beginning of a process of inserting a new fitness product into the home fitness equipment market. we currently have a working prototype that is home made and even though it meets the functionality requirements we expect ,it is far from meeting the Market requirements of design (appearance comfort and weight are the main issues). Since we're not familiar with the process of designing a product that meets the standard needed to "put it for sale", I would like to ask you for some information: What are the main steps for product design? Besides the prototype and the blueprints, is there any additional info needed? Assuming all info is handed, how long does it take to produce complete samples? We will need at least 10 of it in the first stage of marketing. And finally, how much is the estimated cost for such a project? The product's body will be constructed mainly of metal and fabric. I know I'm not handing too much info right now but it's the best I can do for first connection. And finally, I would like to get some more background info of your company. How long have you been in the market, list of prior product designs, staff, etc?
