I am taking a course called Material Culture and Survey, And I have a project that redesign a product and research manufactures & price the complete production of my project. I am going to have a presentation with this in class. So, please answer my questions. My idea is that changes a coating technique of buddy pin (little hair pin). Coating of existing buddy pin is very brittle and easy to peel off. Therefore I want to apply “powder coating” system to buddy pin. (polyester powder coating) I expect metallic finish and various metallized colors. 1.What steps are needed for powder coating system (for buddy pins)? 2.Will you be able to do all the work there? 3.Will you be having parts made from many manufactures? 4.How long it will take to produce one to one hundred? 5.How will be charged for coating/making polyester powder coated buddy pins?
