Experience: Superintendent- Ford Motor Company May 2000-present At Ford Motor Company I moved up through the ranks from production supervisor to production manufacturing specialist to my current role as Production Superintendent. As Superintendent I manage the roles and responsibilities of 6 engineers ,10 supervisors, and 350 UAW hourly employees. My primary function is to lead the team in key measurables such as Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and general plant attributes. Currently my team and I are on track to meet all targets and beat cost reduction month over month by an average of $225000. I have a proven method of cost and waste reduction techniques that have proven profitable for my plant. I have mentored my subordinates so that they can become the leaders of tomorrow. I interface with the customer on a constant basis to understand their needs and keep a strong working relationship. I have a key understanding of Lean Manufacturing, JIT, DCP, SPC,5s, and understand the importance of never compromising quality or safety. Eagle Ottawa Leather 1999- 2000 At Eagle Ottawa Leather I held the position of production manager. I have implemented production standards where there was none and have had great success in achieving our goals. I have helped to nearly eliminate undue overtime. I have 285 employees working together for the common goal of the company's success. I currently have 12 supervisors whom which report to me. My time at Eagle Ottawa Leather has been very successful for the company and for personal growth. Lear Corporation 1995-1999 At Lear Corporation I spent four months on the line building top quality seats for many automotive facilities. I was then promoted to the salary ranks as a production supervisor. Achieving quality goals and maintaining production standards I was promoted to superintendent where I embraced the responsibilities of overseeing the quality and production departments. I task myself in providing an environment which promotes teamwork, open communication and safety. USN 1991-1995 I held various ranks in the Navy. I worked well with my peers as did I with my Commanding Officers. My experience in the service has given me great understanding of the chain of command and has served me well in dealing with employees of all ages and backgrounds.
