Inquiry (采购产品): Archival Ladders Our contractor's safety staff has introduced an issue regarding the safety of the Records Storage Access ladders in use by our contractor who is operating our records storage area in Kansas City. The ladders have been "condemned" and are not currently in use. The specifics follow below the first series of asterisks, the specification is attached along with the link at the bottom below the second series of asterisks. *********************************************** Ladders do not meet the following requirements of 29 CFR 1910.29, Manually Propelled Mobile Ladder Stands and Scaffolds: 1910.29 (f)(4) requires handrails that are a minimum of 29 inches high when units have more than 5 steps or 60 inches vertical height. 29 inches is measured vertically from the center of the step. 1910.29 (a)(2)(ii)(b) requires all ladder stands be capable of supporting at least four times the design working load. Based on the condition of this ladder's construction, specifically the welded areas, it is unlikely to support 1,200 lbs. of force working load. 1910.29 (f)(3) requires steps to be uniformly spaced, and sloped, with a rise of not less than nine (9) inches, nor more than ten (10) inches. The steps on this ladder appear to exceed the 10 inch maximum rise height requirement. ********************************************** We were told that Ballymore manufactures the ladders.
