Inquiry (采购产品): etchant other than ferric chloride? Dear Sir or Madame I believe I am looking for a supplier who uses an etchant other than ferric chloride. I am an artist who does architectural glass installation and would like to produce samples of one of my processes, probably a total of 4 for now. For each sample I will provide a 12 inch x 12 inch 16 oz (.022 thickness) copper sheet which is laminated to a .25 inch thick piece of glass. These pieces are laminated using a polyvinyl interlayer. You will coat the copper with your resist and expose it using the provided negative film (I will follow your line thickness parameters) and etch through the copper. I have found that the ferric chloride permanently stains the polyvinyl interlayer. I have been told that etching with a persulfate would solve the problem. Are persulfates the answer to my problem and can you do this? What are the maximum dimensions you can etch? If this isn’t compatible with your facility, can you suggest another contact for me? Please call or e-mail me with any questions.
