Inquiry (采购产品): Local/Area source small compression springs I am trying to find a local source for a small ( 5" free length) compression spring to operate over a 3/8" shaft and compress to approximately 3". Those I have in hand fall within the above limits but have proven insufficient in strength to properly retract. The spring material is unknown but is probably not that important. The problem is felt to be a wire size (.040 with a pitch of 5 per inch).that is too small. I have been unable to measure the force required to compress the existing spring, but believe a wire size up to double the .040 size would not be excessive. As an individual with a single project I'm sure I could not use your manufacturing services but am hopeful that you might be able to put me in touch with aq local supplier of industrial materials in the Dothan Alabama or Ozark, Enterprise Alabama area.
