Inquiry (采购产品): Help for a project We are students at Villanova University and for our Management class we have been assigned a group project which involves the creation and planned production of a consumer product. We are supposed to act as if we were an organization who must go through the initial stages of planning for this business venture. The following is a description of our product. Our product is a small disposable trash can with 12 prepackaged lining bags. It has a square bottom (9”x9”) and an open square top (11”x11”). Thus creating four trapezoidal sides with the height of 14” (hypotenuse of ≈14.04”) constructed at an angle such that the sides connect the smaller base with the larger open top. Additionally we need another square divider (≈9.2”x9.2”) to be placed near the bottom of the unit, dividing the stack of garbage bags from the bag used to line the can. This insert would need an oval opening, (≈14” diameter) cut so the stack of bags can be accessed after the first one is filled and removed. The stack of trash bags would have to be packaged on the bottom of the trash can such that after the first bag is removed, the next one is easily accessed. We want to use strong cardboard for the construction of this unit. Potentially Flute B. The garbage can is designed for bathroom and small area use so it would need appropriate floral design and coloring. The trash bags would have to be small but sturdy, 8 to 10 gallon bags. Potentially Dow low density polyethylene resin. Lastly we would like to have rubber inserts on two opposite sides of the unit. The rubber inserts would be teeth like the top of a fountain drink lid. The rubber inserts would hold the bag in place in the same way the plastic lid stabilizes straws. Our organization would like to ask for your help on this project. We would like to know if you would be able to manufacture a cardboard box for our product, and give us the appropriate figures for costing and production. We greatly value any input you can give us.
